Jacobean Flourish
This design is tailored for stitchers eager to enhance their embroidery skills, specifically focusing on the fundamentals of Jacobean Embroidery. Throughout this project, participants will gain expertise in a variety of essential stitches.
The techniques covered include: Assorted trellis patterns, bullion knots, French knots, laid work, burden stitch, cretan stitch, van-dyke stitch, fly stitch, fishbone stitch, long and short stitch, pistil stitch, padded satin stitch, buttonhole stitch, raised chain stitch, raised stem stitch, coral stitch, heavy chain stitch, Portuguese knotted stem stitch, pearl stitch, pekinese stitch, whipped/woven wheels
This project is designed to fit within a 10-inch frame, and having very sharp curved scissors will greatly facilitate the stitching process.
